I got myself a gift. After having admired Mrs Emmas lovely Nikon D40 from a distance and seeing the amazing pictures it took I fell head over heels in love.
How can you not love a camera that takes pictures like these? The model is also pretty darn cute, but I already love him so that is taken care of.
See how his pretty little face is nice and sharp? Even though he was moving about like crazy. It's like magic.
Okay, maybe I didn't need all the pictures of the little man in order to show the amazingness (another made up word. I don't know where that all comes from!) of this camera, but that little guy is just so sweet.
But then look at this. The tiny fibres. All the detail Oh dear. Mrs. Emma took these pictures on our couch table with the sun shining through the window and nothing else, and it looks so good.
And so I fell in love with the camera but I was still indecided. What if I didn't use it enough, what if it was just a phase, what if I dropped it into the ocean (that actually could happen, you know) and so on and so on. I was completely undecisive - that I blame on the actual baby (pregnancy is not a thing to be trifled with). Then I showed my better half the approximately 400 pictures Mrs Emma shot while she was here the last time. And then he fell in love with the camera. Two people in love is a powerful thing, even if the object of their love is a camera.
And so I set out to search the internet for a Nikon D40. But there was no Nikon D40 to be found - nowhere. Instead I found another little sweet creature. The Nikon D60.
I love that too. Today it came to live in our house.
And just in case ... I got it fully insured for a 5 year period, so I will not panic too much when the little one puts it into the toilet. I like life panic-free
